D-Day: One war story after another. Ambrose takes you right into the action with real stories of real heroes. Sit down with it for a short 10-minute session, and you have a memorable account of real men accomplishing the impossible. A great foundation for a WW2 library! Curt
Citizen Soldiers: The natural sequel to D-Day. It picks up here where the first one left off. Of course, I originally read them in reverse order - I cannot now recall why I did so, but I’m sure there was a good reason… like maybe I borrowed Citizen - and thus I have been confused about the chronology of events ever since. But I eventually purchased both and find myself sneaking back to read vignettes of each from time to time. Curt
As you may have guessed, this page is still under construction. WW2 required more books than these two. I’ll get to it when I can. Curt
